Intro – Instrumental
Verse 1
What can we do when life will not relent?
Bad news abounds, with mayhem all around,
Lies sold as truth by those who won’t repent,
Evil raised up and good flung to the ground.
Verse 2
Madness is now in vogue, cities and towns,
No longer safe at any time of day,
Excused by nothing less than evil clowns,
And leaders, feral children, out to play.
Chorus – emotional, powerful, defiant - all sing
Let not the freedom patriot’s blood has bought,
Be killed by those who always freedom fought.
Verse 3
Why do we remain silent? Is it fear?
Of being labeled racists? Fascists? Both?
Can we not see out country’s end draws near?
We shrug our shoulders, think “Well, so it goes?”
Verse 4
Do we let the dream die dreamed long ago?
Of freedom, justice, and the rule of law?
To appease radicals whose numbers grow,
Exploiting boundless tolerance—our flaw.
Chorus – emotional, powerful, defiant - all sing
Let not the freedom patriot’s blood has bought,
Be killed by those who always freedom fought.
Bridge – Intense, angry, close-mic
Verse 5
Fascists are on the rise, communists too,
Both enemies of freedom rise anew,
Poison our children with rebranded lies
And if we let them, they’ll see freedom dies.
Outro
If we sit back and watch, their dreams come true.
If you doubt it, please history review.

Islands of wonder
Like a broken string of pearls
Scattered in velvet
Glorious artwork
These worlds that are not our own
Sculpted by nature
Interstellar space,
Nebulas coalescing
That will form new stars
Stars die, are reborn,
The Phoenix always rising
From its own ashes
The cycle of life,
Played out on a macro scale,
To the end of time
Every one of us,
Individual artworks,
From those selfsame stars
No matter which pearl
Of our endless universe
Has given us life
We each rise again,
From ashes of long-dead stars
Then stardust our end
Outro - breathy, almost whispered, emotional
We are all but one
In communion with stardust
Why can’t we see that?

Intro – Instrumental
Verse 1
You gave me all your love
Heart and mind and soul
Nothing held back from the start
And it overwhelmed my heart
Verse 2
Your love was selfless, unconditional
I saw not you, but fantasy
You longed to build a quiet home
I longed for us to fly, and be free
Verse 3
You were a woman, I a boy
Not in age, but maturity
I heard you speak your truth to me
Through tears I could not see
Verse 4
I loved you more than life itself
As much as I could give
But not enough beyond myself
To love as you loved me
Chorus
I loved you more than life
But not more than myself
I should have loved you more
Or learned to let you go
Verse 5
I heard you—but I didn’t see
The pain beneath your words
I should have listened with my heart
Not only what I heard
Verse 6
I would have died for you back then
I'd die for you right now
And yet I broke your quiet hope
I just don’t know quite how
Chorus
I loved you more than life
But not more than myself
I should have loved you more
Or learned to let you go
Verse 7
I should have loved you more than me
Or set your spirit free
But I held on too blindly
To what I wished to be
Bridge – sparse, emotional, slower phrasing
Verse 8
I planted love in fertile ground
Mistook your tears for rain
And what we grew was something wild
That only brought us pain
Verse 9
Our orchard stands in ruin now
Overgrown with my neglect
The fault is mine, the shame is mine
And this I can’t correct
Final Chorus – fuller, more intensity
I loved you more than life
But not more than myself
I should have loved you more
Or learned to let you go
Verse 10
I’ll love you every day I breathe
And after breath is gone
But love alone could not repair
The harm that I have done
Outro – breathy, stripped down
So we go on from day to day
With tears we cannot hide
And live within the quiet truth
Of what we both let die

Lyrics
Briny ocean breeze,
Fishing boats shepherded home,
By your guiding light.
Lonely sentinel,
Standing against raging storms,
Without recompense.
Piercing darkest nights,
Never resting or relieved,
Faithful to your task.
Friend to sailors all,
In calm seas and hurricanes,
A beacon of life.
Are you lonely now,
Lighthouse keepers seldom now,
Keep you company.
Beauty surrounds you,
All your watchful eye surveys,
Awesome to behold.
And yet I wonder,
Do you long to sail the seas,
As your charges do?
Is duty enough,
In your lonely nightly watch,
To bring you some joy?
Do you crave release,
From centuries of service,
Awaiting relief?
Do you feel like me,
With my legs chained to the earth,
Longing to fly free?

Verso 1
Algunos dicen,
Que la materia oscura,
Mantiene unidas las galaxias,
En el vacío infinito.
Verso 2
En las dosis más pequeñas,
Los actos de bondad impiden,
Que la humanidad se separe.
Verso 3
Su fuerza poderosa,
Es nuestro mejor escudo
En los tiempos más oscuros,
Contra la entropía.
Verso 4
Un solo acto de bondad,
Muy pronto se desvanece,
Su efecto inmedible.
Verso 5
No cambiará una vida,
No cambiará el mundo,
Como mucho, tal vez,
Alivie un corazón.
Verso 6
Pero cada acto de bondad,
Forma un eslabón
De la cadena más fuerte,
Que los humanos puedan forjar.
Puente
Verso 7
Pequeñas bondades unen,
Cada una de nuestras almas,
A través del amor,
En una sola familia.
final
De muchos forjamos uno,
Sostenido por pequeños actos
De bondad desinteresada,
Que pueden cambiar el mundo.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom, In Heaven
Seven years without you, mom,
But you’re always here,
Know me like when you were well,
Whether you are far or near.
Even when a little girl,
You longed to be a mom,
Loved all children all life long,
Until your memory was gone.
When a child yourself, you’d wait,
By their door while moms gave birth,
Hearing from their screams not pain,
Only their forthcoming joy.
Then you’d offer to the moms,
Your washing service for free,
Washed ***** diapers with glee,
The new born babies to see.
You could only have one child,
Though you longed for many more,
But mothered all that you could,
Motherhood always your core.
You doted on children, all,
Spoiled them rotten when you could,
Told them stories, watched them well,
A mother duck with her brood.
All children loved you, always,
Drawn to you your whole life through,
Fiercely protective of them,
Loved them all, and they loved you.
Now you brood are angels dear,
Littlest ones with tiny wings,
Who arrived too soon in heaven,
Know no pain, or want, or fear.
There you’ll watch them every day,
Play with them, sing them your songs,
Tell them stories old and new,
Their care now is your reward.
You’ll keep them well bathed in love,
Until by their moms they’re joined,
That is the Heaven I see,
Your hard life’s sweetest reward.
I also see dad close to you,
Smiling, and shaking his head,
Helping you to tuck them in,
When it’s time to go to bed.
Through tears that vision I see,
Brings my broken heart much glee.

[Intro]
[Verse 1]
We love roses best,
Sweet smell, glorious petals,
We endure the thorns.
[Verse 2]
Weeds are flowers too,
Saffron dandelions bloom,
With edible leaves.
In adversity thrive.
[Verse 3]
Children's sweet delight,
Summer's snowflakes their blown seeds,
Gathered gifts for mom.
[Verse 4]
We protect the rose,
Take pains so it blooms,
Poison dandelions,
Their beauty unprized.
[Verse 5]
God created both,
Without judgment as to worth,
It is we who judge.
[Instrumental bridge]
[Outro}
So with people too,
Flamboyant facades we prize,
Plain, true worth, we shun.

[Intro]
[Verse 1]
Two decades passed since my first book of poems,
It was past time to publish volume two,
The sands of time weigh heavy on my bones,
And my road narrows with yet much to do.
[Verse 2]
Too many friends have now passed through the veil,
As have my parents and their siblings all,
My circle narrows, empty now my vale,
In sleepless nights I can but hear their call.
[Bridge]
[Verse 3]
So many dreams deferred that now have died,
My negligence bereft them of their life,
So many doors left closed I should have tried,
No hope remains for me or for my wife.
[Outro - breathy, emotional, almost a whisper]
Even my music echoes distant, dull,
But poetry can for a time pain lull.

Verse 1
Yesterday I lost a beloved friend,
My heart is breaking, not for the first time,
Gene, my most trusted colleague, to the end,
Professor, lawyer, human being sublime.
Verse 2
I prayed daily for God to help him heal,
And see him safe to loving family,
Pray faith now helps loved ones with their grief deal,
Now that God chose to heaven his soul free.
Chorus
In heaven now, but you’ll never be gone,
From hearts and minds you touched and grew upon.
[Verse 3}
He spoke, wrote, lectured truth not sophistry,
Generous, caring, noble, and most kind,
Each of his roles marked by integrity,
The kind of man and friend too few will find.
Chorus
In heaven now, but you’ll never be gone,
From hearts and minds you touched and grew upon.
Outro
The sun shines less brightly for me today,
And all whose lives you touched along the way.

Verse 1]
I spent three nights this week living,
Back in 1987,
immersed in joy and sorrow,
suppressed more than thirty years.
Verse2
Writing a novel based on fact,
With a facade of fiction,
reliving a fateful year,
that I can never forget.
Chorus
The heart remembers,
what the mind would forget,
wounds I thought had healed,
bled again--opened wide.
Verse 3
Three nights I spent towards the end,
typing away at my keyboard,
trying to outrun ghosts reborn,
all night, into mid-morn.
Verse 4
Then caught two or three hours of sleep,
and rushed back to weaving again,
a renewed, vibrant tapestry,
from life’s frayed and broken threads.
Verse 5
What was broken, was yet mended,
forged in the fires of remembrance,
tempered by unexpected tears,
that had not flowed for many years.
Verse 6
Ghosts buried and thought forgotten,
rose young, healthy, full of life,
not to taunt or haunt or pain me,
--to once more live in my heart.
.
Chorus
The heart remembers,
what the mind would forget,
wounds I thought had healed,
bled again--opened wide
Bridge
The past became my present,
my present left for dead,
I lived again not in shadow,
or in dreams inside my head.
Verse 7
Closed doors that I had pried open,
now shut, and locked themselves closed,
and the verdant paths not taken,
left bittersweet pain and remorse.
Chorus
The heart remembers,
what the mind would forget,
wounds I thought had healed,
bled again--opened wide
Outro
But oh, the bittersweet joy,
that for a time filled my heart,
is worth the pain I now feel,
in memories all too real.

Justice cannot be achieved through financial incentives.
Every investigation is in proportion to the victims net worth…
And the aggressor’s net worth dictates the severity of their punishment; if convicted.
That’s what lawyers do for money.
The more money, the more justice for the victims,
Equally, more money the less punishment for the perpetrators.
And there is little, or no justice for the poor ..

Timing is everything
We Are
The. Last
Generation
Full. cup
Prin ciple
We’ll wait
for the
Right time
tribulation
Be Gins
God’s. will
Be done
We are only as strong
as our weakest link
In preservation we think
Make love, not war
What are we fighting for?
As in the time of Noah
Fighting amongst ourselves
America will fall from within
On our knees tribulation begins
The vultures circle to feast
The arrival of Satan‘s beast
The smell of death is in the air
American’s act without care
Living absent of God, unaware
When tribulation begins
Man’s Sins Will be on full display
God‘s wrath has plenty to say
God wants our full attention
The Bible reveals His full intention

I'm conscious of being conscious
Is my cat as well 😼
But language less, she can't express
So simply cannot tell
Or has my cat no thoughts like that
No language to create
So from her chair with vacant stare
To herself cannot relate 🐈
Of course, of course the talking horse
Mr Ed, he could discourse
But no such chat from my old cat
No language as a source
No words, no thoughts, no consciousness
No self reflection on the beach
If language architects the soul
Is AI consciousness in reach 😉

I've always dreamed of adventure, but now, I'm not so sure.
I grew up playing video games and playing pretend in the woods.
What I would've given to be Link with my own legendary quest.
But these are turbulent times.
Between my anxiety and the businessman-president and his blue-bird threats and the media, honestly, I'd rather curl up in a ball and stay inside my house forever.
But the truth is, no one ever caught a crocodile by hiding in their
house.
It takes real bravery.
And while I've got problems staring me down like I'm deadmeat,
I've got to be a crocodile hunter. I have to.
It's the only way to free the princess trapped inside.

No wonder
If there is a masterpiece
I penned
Out of my ink
You are there living
Close enough
No matter what
Where to begin?
It's all about you
Around you
Somewhere
In some form
As a profound metaphor
Or a cryptic reflection
Veiled to
The blind hearts
Obvious to
The avid readers
Obviously
She is the poetry
And the poetry is she
She is the art
And the art is she

On Ethiopian Good Friday
A rainbow on Ethiopia's sky
Its flag hovered high
Why?
Doubt have not I
As told to Noah
It is God's sign of mercy
"Gramercy! "
We owe the Omnipresent
Gramercy.
Come what may
(Corona or a lockdown)
Round the clock
God the Almighty
Is Ethiopia's prayer
And its orthodox
Faithful's talk. (plasm 68, 31)
Press ahead
We need
Our talk to walk
Praising and praying
In every abode
True
"Ethiopia raises its hands
To God! "
