They say that it's a matter of trusting Before love has a chance to begin And it's never simple, Cos’ faithless hearts can ******* But only a strong love survives They say that it's a fine line Between giving up and giving in But once your heart is in it You just can't forget it It's like something you never felt in your life You got real love, not infatuation Real love, not an imitation She is your heart’s destination And your hearts' celebration As you both explore without limitation You are such a part of her life That can't be remembered without you And you’ve had your days and nights, To have your share of fights But never think of giving it up You created a world where dreams are a part By painting love all over your hearts Till the balance was right You both were dreamers But you're making the dreams come true

DREAMS COME TRUE
A desert wind blows hot and dry, whispering a prayer for rainclouds. The Milky Way spills across the night sky, with Saturn and Jupiter shining down, interstellar eyes that see the white lizards skittering in the sand, and me laying on my back, gazing up, swimming in starlit possibility.

Joshua Tree
The sun is hot in the open desert. A shadow of hope from the plants that look like they have withered. Shade we seek the critters scream. Little feet scorching as the sand seems to melt. Why must I live here. Many folk ask. Would you rather have the ocean to see versus the forever ending rows of Joshua Trees. My skies are full of glistening stars, when the hot sun sets deep down afar. I have darkness you can never see. I can see the milky way you see. I don't need the beach house. I can always hear her waves. A memory recorded deep in my mind. The night skies are forever now mine. I fear not the heat of the day. I live my life simple like the old days. I have no wants. My needs are all meet. As long as I have you with me at night. The stars are our peace in this crazy world. I love my desert as I love you. Harsh at times. Life gets rough you see. But in the end it is just you and me. Nashoba copyrighted 2014

Desert love
There are many days when I wish that like Joshua, I too could make the sun stand still, and there are many nights when I wish to do the same with the moon to allow us subtle darkness just a little while longer, and there are many times when my voice is only its own echo.... You say, that like a fossil which went through its changes at an earlier time, that now I too am changing. I am no longer like wet cement where the things which I'm to remember are inscribed like someone's initials upon the wet surface, but that I am more like the things I've forgotten those things which distress me--- crabgrass and weeds growing up through the cracks in the face of my soul.

Expectations
He is good. He suprises me with how good he really is. He makes me, well, happy. Can you believe it? Sometimes I can't. He loves me. This panamourous, gender fluid, mermaid. pagan, creature that I am. I didn't really think that was possible. Not because I am not deserving of love. Just that I am different. He loves my different. He is in love with my different.

Guess Who
I've been writing in different styles Trying to find something new Yet it seems that all the good ones Are mainly about you Joshua if you're reading this I just wanted to let you know I could live a million eternities And still never let you go Because when i say i love you It's not just for fun I didn't think that i could love But yet.. you're the one The one who gave me hope The one who loves me through my flaws And now everyone knows See the standing ovation? Hear the applauds? This is not some crush And you are not some guy I know it's way too soon But this life is for you and i And for everyone reading this Please share your words And tell the ones you love The things they've never heard I love you

for him
You know my name Let me rebrand it I then, am Joshua. You are Jericho -- A Jericho in my hands For God gave you to me The task is mine now. I was born to conquer I was born for this To utter words of triumph And exalt and laud The name above all names. You are not alone But I am to defeat you Including your kings And mighty men of valor That the proud heart may lose control Be angry then, yet not sin. I, Joshua The one who'll march around the city And for six days, That'll be my routine A discipline for myself An act of obedience Of not letting words slip in From my mouth that once cursed Yet now, I'm redeemed. The trumpets we'll blow And the Lord was with us The fame now is of the land Oh victory! Yes, my victory! (6/29/14 @xirlleelang)
