I was once told:
"You can trust me"
"I'm here to help"
And "I'm here for you"
My innocent mind believed each word.
You had me convinced.
Looking back,
I can't help but wince
Your job is done;
I'm coated in your venom.
So, away you slither,
Abandoning me a final time.
Quietly, I wither

After all,
