#faerie
They twirl and dance With grace and laughs Deadly beautiful The faeries prance The fruit they place On crystal plates Poison sweet A dangerous fate So gorgeously disguised The faeries can't lie Sharply gentle They're hideous inside Their teeth so white Blindingly bright Pearly fangs Just waiting to bite Castles made of glass The parties everlast Joyous doom The facade cracks

Faerie Revel
A wish - A Whisper - That thin ribbon of smoke- curling like fingers around a throat- that forgot how to hope A beauty bound by a breath that chokes - all the love from a jaded heart - Until it shakes and breaks then just takes one more **** - A raven is she partying with a wolf in the screen - A girl dressed in red like a flame - an echoing voice too obscene - She laughs and cackles then she grins - At a ghost in the shell - is this how she sins? A wish, a whisper, another bellow of smoke A tear, laugh through the dark - as if spoken by rote it leaks starlight instead of blood, calls it a good time Raven on the shoulder of his heart, A wolf trapped in mine Girl in Red screaming through the static load He laughs because crying makes her look like a toad He cackles because silence is heartbreak He keeps her from jumping in the dark lake He grins wide with far too many teeth because the wolf asked politely ****** - with a sneer She tilted her head with a mischievous grin, with no fear and ever so sweetly she whispered, “Oh please,” like the moon asked for a taste of a treat So she slid the full jar across the sky with a wink.

The Wolf The Raven and The Ghost Dressed in Red
She's lost in wilds unexplored      Far from dreamers' shining lands In misty moors where even Sleep      Lets fall his useless magic sands There is no rest for mortals here      For fools who play where Faeries tread On Faerie roads, in Faerie lands      The world is turned upon its head Her stride is sure, yet she is not      Perception is the Faeries' game Sending visions, glamours, ghosts      Illusions wailing out her name A fearful girl along the roads      Will bargain for most anything And here, the threshold of Lost Hope      Is purview of the Raven King The Raven King! The Raven King!      She fell in wonder at the sight As castles grew before her eyes      And wild dark turned blinding bright He led her to the winding halls      She rushed down cobbles Faeries tread She gulped the dizzying Faerie wine      And took the proffered Faerie bread They swept her up in swirling dance      For frenzied days, she whirled along In drunken time, she stumbled to      The beat of Faerie's wild song And, wilder still, her heart would drum      Excited in the glittered haze As Fae lay stardust in her eyes      And drew her with their feral gaze But wait--why did her weary bones      Resist the Fae's beguiling thrall? Even as her mind was pulled to      Pirouette the Endless Ball Dissonance--a spell had snapped      She scrabbled at the gilded walls "Is this to be my cage?" she called      Across the King's ethereal halls She couldn't sleep; she couldn't rest      Paced and fretted, cried aloud But she had bargained, drunk the wine      And for the Raven King now bowed "You made the bargain, mortal girl      You said the words and you were bound You called out for the Raven King      When you were lost on Faerie ground." She'd never known the ancient laws      The tricky ways of binding rites The way the Fae could draw you in      With silvered tongue and phantom sights The Faeries laughed; the Faeries danced      They brought her back under their spell She didn't fight--their dazzling daze      Was better than a living hell So there she stays, a wayward girl      Heartsick, lost, and trapped in Fae A fearful girl along the roads      Who bargained her whole life away

Leave a Saucer Out; a haiku
our love was- Is- Immature. But it is true. From toadstools upturned To faerie jinxes, It is true. And I know, in my spirit, That your hand was destined to meet mine. One way or another.

Balance - Fantastical
Faerie; With your golden eyes, your sharp-toothed smile, the words you spin in gossamer, in starlight, in orb-weaver silk. You compose a symphony in mycelium: Each tree an instrument, each interwoven root a note in harmony. Silvertongue, sundew, you have set a snare with green willow, a net of blackberry thorns, baited it with honey. All around, the evergreen pines, the winter roses bloom. A sweet end, arranged in perfect circles for you and I alone. I step, happily, toward your waiting arms— for with your clever, clever fingers, oh, sunflower, you have stolen me away.

bewitching
(what do you want from me?) i want you to come with me, deep below, down beneath, let me bury you. (would it be quiet down there?) yes, with dirt in your ears, dirt on your tongue, the silence so beautiful. (and if i don't like it, can i dig myself up again?) no, but you won't want to. the earth will hold you, the dark will warm you, the worms will sing to you. you will never be lonely again. (then bury me, hold me, don't ever let me go.)

shroud (a conversation)
She was the Fae to walk the dawn, Her eyes wide like scarlet moons. She faced the day like no other, She fought the sky She fought the moon She fought the world with spirit high, For love, nay for life, She was brave as was her might, To spread her wings across the moors, A Fae to rise and live again ---AuroraRW

Fae
A boy with sloping shoulders that lies beneath the summer moon His hair in feathered clumps and skin a pale green The sugared breeze whispers between green-toothed skeletons Whose crooked bodies loom, shadows dancing over his bare feet Melted blues spill into oil and speckled white An open canvass above to freckle his face with dew and starlight His appled cheeks plump and rosy, his wet brown cow eyes and Dancing hummingbird beat throb an echo across the woods A rhythm that races between your xiphisternum and back bone. When his laughter dances across the nape of your neck When his breath coats your arms and tickles your brow When his summer song flutters in and out of your hearing Too soft and swift for your tree-root heart, Then you must open your eyes and arms and embrace the heavens Open your mouth and drink in the night air In the hope his fleeting mirth might float by and trickle down your throat, might dust your heart in gold and green.

Those Summer Nights
> do not step in the fairy rings > the neatly circle like mushrooms will call you to > the fairy folk will dance you away laughing > take you where one century passes in a minute > don't do it > stay away from the too bright meadows > in the too silent forests he steps in each and every circle he can find he steps in them and closes his eyes when nothing happens he steps out and sighs ah still the last one of my kind

the instruction doesn't mean you need to follow
Do not eat of Faerie food And do not drink of Faerie wine Or when you leave Faerie at last The home you seek's no longer thine. Do not step in Faerie rings Do not enter the Faerie Mound Or when rescue comes for thee Your sanity will ne'er be found. Do not lie to Faerie folk And don't insult the Faerie Queen Or for all of eternity You and yours will not be seen. Do not enter Faerie woods And do not walk the Faerie trod Or, though you come back to hearth, Your heart will ne'er again be thawed. Don't listen when Faeries sing And ignore the Banshee wail Or you will have the dubious fame Of becoming a Faerie tale. Do not look through Faerie stones That you find on the Faerie ground Or they will put out your eye So you can't see when they're around. Do not enter Faerieland But if you do, don't leave the path Or you'll be lost for ever more In darkness where the monsters laugh. Do not ask for Faerie help If it comes take care how you pay Some want clothes or milk for it Some are insulted and betray. Do not accept Faerie gold From captured elf or leprechaun For it will turn to moss and leaves And when you look up they'll be gone. Don't swim in the Faerie stream Where nixies and kelpie play Banshee wash dead men's ****** clothes In that water, so stay away. Do not believe what Faeries say Though it's true that they cannot lie They never say quite what they mean Honestly they will truth deny. Don't even taste Faerie repast No goblin fruits from elven trees They're addictive beyond belief A wise man offered such food flees. 'Ware giving thanks for Faerie gifts Though they save you from all pain Or else you may be in their debt And lose more than you stood to gain. Beware lights off Faerie shores And lanterns seen in wild bogs For wisps will lead folks off of cliffs And laugh as corpses float like logs. And buy naught from Faerie markets They sell goblin fruits, curses, lies The price your dreams, your past, your soul Your voice, the color of your eyes.

faerie song
To thy “stranger”, I would say: Wouldst thee with flaming embers play? What wouldst thou give me, for my lore? A service, or gift from a distant shore? Ah, I have it—give me a Kiss I’ll be satisfied with this “A trifle!" Yea, I do not jest Since curiosity will not rest I deem this the fairest price For my confession of many a vice In good faith I deign to wait— ‘til my tale is done—thy lips to sate Sit, for though this tale is short Thou art my guest in this misted Court I am a child with a demon’s heart A confection with a center **** Through my veins runs not vampyr’s liquor Rather, ground glass and honey are my ichor Silk and lace may conceal the malice But even such are stained, like a tarnished chalice Raiment white I wear no longer Storm and night by far are stronger Tainted as the tainted come Lust I’ve tasted, and then some The sweet bite of teeth I’ve often felt But mine own claws have more damage dealt For how can shadows of bruises compare To the unhealed slashes beneath my hair? But lesser are all blades, fangs, and claws Than the candied toxins from these tiny jaws Words—not spells—in many tongues Physic’ly powered by caged lungs Caressing, weaving, setting hearts a-daze Twisting, stabbing, fiery raze Finally, sever, the building craze Suffering will not this parasite faze Their fresh hot tears—my wine But at Death I draw the line Darkness in an Angel’s guise Deception, too, I despise I can die But cannot lie Why so pale and trembling, my dear? I daresay I know what will give thee cheer Have my lips—a gift, not a payment Into the void thy fears will be sent Thou wilst forget all thy joys and regret And stay for eternity, as my human pet… How may I say this, with a face so merry? Why, ‘tis simple—I am a faerie

In the fey garden there were rosebuds dripping a sweet nectar that pooled on the ground crimson wafting a heavenly scent and the smell made ears ring and sing with the cries of the butterflies caught left to rot, in the pretty fey garden. In the fey garden there were sweet fruits swelling with poison and a fluttering song caressing the fallen though the tune was sharp to the dead they were calling the screeching rang strong, in fey garden. In the fey garden was a mystery told the mundane, young and old came longing for gold they were sold by the fables but the tables were turned with the tune sung of blood, that flooded fey garden.

Faerie flitting through the trees Please, oh please, don't come near me I don't want your taunts and tricks Your words are worse than stones and sticks Though you look so fine and pretty With your voice that's so bewitching Your fair, fair face hides mischief well And all the secrets you won't tell Your glistening wings, they flutter fast As you loop and circle past Lost in the maze of tangled leaves A shining speck on the summer breeze
