#eiffeltower
While the world is asleep I lie awake in a dream that feels real because I am with you. They'll lie still and we won't disturb them. It's you that I only get this feeling around. I accept that I am awake because you are here There is no other fact. While the world is asleep I want to explore everything that I can. Without interruption. Without the triple bypass of work. More than enjoying your company for what it is. Like croissants in Paris After climbing the Eiffel tower with you on my back. Or counting how long it'll take to bend the curvature of the tower into the shape of your heart. While the world is asleep They'll lie still and we won't disturb them. & When they awake, They'll think it was all a dream By the time we finish explaining what took us so long to get back

World is Asleep
Fly with me to Paris and We will climb the Eiffel Tower We'll see the Louvre And walk along the Avenue des Champs Elysees We will walk alone together along the great Seine River And latch a lovers lock upon the bridge above the water We can picnic on the grass in the grandest park in Paris Then embrace within the shadows of Notre Dame Cathedral Where there We'll swear Our love forever sure We will seal it with a kiss And know We never missed The times and places that make A life worthwhile. -R. 8.26.17 -LA

-A Life Worthwhile (Fly With Me)
Plumped rouge with pigment her lip fills to graze the ******** intent to disquiet the likes of de Sade autografted with ocular detachment should a Marquis wish to harness the song of the morning within a bandolier of Seine to ensnare any bustled Persephone gilted by discharge of ions into a ménage of torment through the Porte des Lions. Hers is the tincture of doxy caramelized and debrided of naivety, empowered by the eve of invention, swollen to curves and grounded in Paris. Illumination defies pervasion down to every gear and pulley she has hushed through mechanization and lulled by steam, swaging a cacophony of flickers encased in glass by the Lady’s watch, where every rivet of her plate glisters silken reverberation in cascade, elegant, caged, and towering, outspoken in silence, ever challenging the Champ de Mars. "Paris by Gaslight," written by Dionne Charlet, is the title poem to be featured in the upcoming steampunk anthology Paris by Gaslight, the third anthology in the By Gaslight Series from New Orleans small press Black Tome Books. Look for the first two collections of poems and short stories set in Victorian Times, New Orleans by Gaslight (ISBN 9780615801186) and Cairo by Gaslight (ISBN 9781516961528). Both collections feature poetry by Charlet, under the pseudonym Dionne Cherie.

Paris by Gaslight
If my thoughts are my eyes and my mind is Paris, then you are my Tour Eiffel penetrating that flat sky line of the buildings all the same uniform height, without change or dynamics, you protrude out of the flatness, the beautiful change of scene, the epicenter, of wonder. my wandering eyes always find you no matter where I am, who I am with, or what I am doing, I can always find you above the bustling city a separate entity Of hope, and love, and change Before, Paris did not have the tour Eiffel, but continued to bustle as any city does still the city of love, It was missing it's determining factor, it's monument that stood out from all the rest The landmark that completed the city, that created a place of wonder to surmount all the world, a watching over every building, every garden, every thought The last thing I see when rest my head on my pillow, your shining light fills me with wonder and inspiration as the moon rises in the sky: creating wishes and hope for the future You always penetrate the corners of my mind My shining Tour Eiffel

The Tour of my Mind
I'll ride in a unicorn if I had a chance Go visit the hidden garden and take a glance I'll go drop and make a dance in the moon Through the magic carpet and massive balloon. I'll watch the star from falling Tie a hanky and keep myself wishing I'll fly with the help of the birds Make a big conversation with the clouds. I'll submerge in the sea to play with Ariel Dance under water and collect shell I'll travel to visit Alice in the Wonderland Not minding the dirt in the sand. I'll ride on the plane and go to Paris Tour myself in the city of poetry I'll go to Eiffel Tower to have my dream come true I don't care if I will go alone, atleast I have my happiness upto my bone. Paris will be an amazing trip, but it isn't enough I want to go visit the Queen In the place where my favorite boyband has been The place called London, the land I wish I was on. It's always an amazing thing to imagine And there is no other place for this, only in this piece.
