#amber
From the far start of the alphabet,
the sun rose for me.
Dawn wore the color of autumn,
and in that quiet first blush,
a fairy passed through my sight.
My tiny world held its
breath as flowers
learned to bloom,
their nectar trembling
as if the cosmos
was asking to be turned
into honey.
I was only a bee then,
helpless in the most delicate way,
drawn without reason toward
a single sunflower.
And there an ember found its
way into my chest,
small, patient, eternal.
Time moved on, as it always does.
Other hands found mine,
other mornings learned my name,
and love, real and living,
walked beside me.
Yet still,
beneath all that warmth,
that first ember never
asked to be extinguished.
From that first ray of light to
this resting hour,
the moment and feelings never faded.
It crystallized,
not into longing alone,
but into diamond.
A fossil kissed by sunrise,
warmed through borrowed daylight,
carried quietly until dusk.
Every late afternoon,
the golden sun slowly lowers itself,
the world is bathed in amber tones.
And the stars, faithful, knowing,
whisper what they have
always known.
tomorrow, and forever.
For some where in time,
Amber remains,
not a wound, not a regret,
but love caught mid-glow,
a dream that never came true,
a honeyed Amberly tone
holding the sun itself,
still warm,
still kind,
after twenty years and so.
…. A memory that refused to cool.

There’s something about your love
that feels like amber—
warm, steady, quietly glowing
even on the days when I don’t.
I hold it the way you’d hold
something precious you almost forgot you deserved,
turning it in my hands,
letting its soft light calm the restlessness in me.
You don’t rush my healing.
You just stay—
patient as resin forming over years,
gathering the broken pieces of who I’ve been
and making them part of something beautiful.
And maybe that’s why I keep you close,
why your name sits in my chest
like a small, golden ember.
Because in a world full of moments that fade,
you’re the one thing
etched in amber—
the one warmth
I know won’t go away.

Deep in the darkest night
When there's no light
His force is coming
And you cant do a thing
The darker it gets
the more powerful he is
sharp fangs that shine in the moon
if you look in his eyes
you better run
when the moon hides
he will look for your behind
you got have to go soon
follow the sun and
you better run
trust me, hold my hand
lets run away from this land
from this place in a lagoon
look at me, ill protect you
from the forces we never knew

beautiful morning
amber filtered . . .
with the forest fire smog
it's fine don't worry
it's been carried a great distance
to reach our city
a slight itchiness to the eyes
a slight betrayal with breathing being
a little harsh for some
beautiful morning
teased branches
their tinsel shadows
and a warm rustle

Amber trees shed leaves
To make an earthy cradle
For new seeds to grow.

In twilight lands where echoes gleam,
A sun is stitched from shards of dream.
The rivers flow with liquid light,
And stars converse in silent night.
Beneath a moon of sapphire flame,
The trees all speak. but none the same.
Their roots entwine like ancient lore,
To guard a glass and breathing shore.
A castle floats on airless tide,
Where time forgets to turn or bide.
Its halls are lined with books that hum..
Their pages born of thought, not thumb.
The sky is green, the ground is gold,
And gravity obeys the bold.
A world unseen by mortal eye,
Yet touched in sleep when spirits fly.
So close your mind, and drift unchained.
To where the laws of fate are strained.
A whisper waits, soft-spoken, terse
Somewhere deep in a mirrored universe.

A simple jacket.
A simple gesture.
A knightly task.
To some may seem simple.
To me, it’s a taking off of a mask.
Has anyone ever taken such great care of you?
Making sure you’re warm and sheltered from the cold?
The simple gesture of putting my jacket on for me is very bold.
This is something that I’ve never had before.
Such a simple task that was just for me.
I’m so lucky to spend these simple, sweet moments with you the sweetest man.

_____
Do our lips & fingertips ignite
the searing heat of our kisses—
like glowing embers of a dying fire?
Your tender whispers linger,
a constant flame that consumes me.
Every passing moment, the chasm between us widens…
The fire of longing blazes within me in your absence,
it blazes even more fiercely when you are near.

Grieving the living,
Envying the dead,
This world is one
That will **** with your head.
And like amber,
Time here will harden you.
But leave a beauteous soul.
As a hunk of coal,
They will burn you
And chide, as you go up in smoke.

The flowers meet as the
words of thought, the
leaves touch in the
wind, here, you share
the little poems of the
earth with me, I hold
you close under the
sun, we are in each
other arms as a
blanket in a place
where we will both feel
safe and untorn in the
warm amber glow, healing
our sore souls in our gentle
sleep, I will say to you in
silence, “the answer of your
existence is my home”.

Thought I moved on
Felt guilty but relieved
And then I looked
Into your amber eyes
And fell for you again

That brief moment
Walking into the shaded apartment to find you reading in flannel
And everything in me jumps
The camera obscura of my iris snaps,
Suspending you in amber light.
The tapered elegance of your fingers across a page
A glint of Versailles blue-gold eyes
And fortified ramparts of your shoulders.
I will carry this vestige with me
In a petticoat pocket
Until we are old
And your arms do not lift me as you just did
The last strand of your hair is silver
And your cheeks sink with age like your father’s.
These small gems of youth
Of promise
To keep in a sleeve until they are needed
And the mirrors show reflections we cannot change

Everyone is walking,
and I'm here
standing alone
Time crashed
like waves--in the ocean
whilst it halted as
the shouts of silence began
I stood there til' the sun came to withdraw
from the moon's night sky;
All there is was the cold night breeze,
while the moon and stars accompany me

A shadow at dusk becomes
Two clouds in the night
No moonlit sky
Dust from our surface earth
Most have less worth at times
Amber suns burnt out beyond
This horizon nearly done
Visibility is often said to be earned
The crowds of which chatter
But who lies behind
Tally up Tally ** for a house of old
The race of petulance soon be gone
Some cities fall and people go on
To grow into the next steps
We always call upon the young

He'll pour the sweetest honey words
And you'll willingly take every sticky drop
Not knowing that he'll take you when the amber hardens
And add you to his collection

Her neck was adorned by a neckpiece of unique memories trapped in ancient amber...!
For aren't some moments too worthwhile to be forgotten by the mind....
Yet too heavy a price to lose from the heart?

falling is the color
of a naked heart, dipped
in cobalt dreams & violet
yearnings; bruises blooming
in amber, coagulating red roses;
marrow fueled & exposed, as it rises
—golden-yellow like the waking sun
with olive desires & an indigo passion;
it is in the merging of pigments into bright
light, brutal and blinding, but full of delight.

'Twas fading, slowly...
your face turning
into a bleak silhouette,
exquisitely melding
with the dark plane,
where your languid countenance
had once burned ablaze...
But, your amber eyes
never dimmed,
Luciform flames rising
Awash in the subtle glow,
Something deepened within.
In your eyes, my frame
A butterfly in crystal amber.
Byzantine wings suspended
In star-thistle nectar drop.
