Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle Autumn rain When you awake in the mornings hush I am the quiet uplifting rush Birds in circled flight I am the soft stars that shine at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there, I did not die

I Am Not There
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle Autumn rain When you awake in the mornings hush I am the quiet uplifting rush Birds in circled flight I am the soft stars that shine at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there, I did not die
I want to make it clear that I did NOT write this poem, a few years ago I read it somewhere and copied it down because it meant so much to me, I'm not attempting to take credit for it, whomever wrote it is amazing, I just want to spread the message, It really helped me through a hard time and I hope it helps other people going through the same situation.
