Last night I took my sadness for a walk We walked through the garden of my soul We stood at the foot of my fountain And he looked at me his eyes like a dark cloud choking out the sunlight I told him You are not welcome here not now, not ever A seed was planted Trees stretched from the earth and as they reached for the sky Flowers grew and roses bloomed The clouds burned up and rain turned to ash As I pushed him out I locked the gates Of my newfound Eden
