If this is the farthest we could reach; If this is the closest we could get; I'll get by on these ifs If only not to have regrets. For it would be a crime to wish for something more for us. For it would be selfish If I ask you to remove your mask. Not everything about us should be suppressed, Sometimes it is better to let it be. Who knows someday it'll come as a surprise It has always been you and me.

It Has Always Been
If this is the farthest we could reach; If this is the closest we could get; I'll get by on these ifs If only not to have regrets. For it would be a crime to wish for something more for us. For it would be selfish If I ask you to remove your mask. Not everything about us should be suppressed, Sometimes it is better to let it be. Who knows someday it'll come as a surprise It has always been you and me.
