when i touch his lips nothing around me exists
then i feel him push into my kiss
and i forget to breathe
i forget where i am and i get lost in our dizzy haze
of a maze
we find each other there and i feel him touch my face
i fall deeper into his embrace
and i get caught up in this sense of
peace and calmness
i could stay here forever

i remember where i am and what i'm doing
i look behind me at the beautiful child i have come to call my own
think for a second of what will be our home
"I'm so thankful i'm alive"
