The ghost on the other side of the bed Is thin in bones And thick with need He Is tired and reaches a hand out To touch me He Is years in the future While I'm tucked into the past He Fingers the duvet between us And offers a smile He Searches inside my eyes For secrets I want him to find The ghost on the other side of the bed Disappears And I crash into sleep

The Ghost On the Other Side of the Bed
