Hast thou come here kindly and in beauty
with the early and faintest dawn, whilst
the undaunted night sky is newly bearing
the dayspring once more;
and dare I ask
if perhaps I dream, or if you truly do drape
thy left hand gently over my right side,
whilst
calling me-the struggling bud-to sprightly
issue forth; heretofore
to morph into a mighty flourisher,
then left to beg most intently to be swathed in a
manner of sole Love...
and all in the misty morning light?
-I shall ever await your answer, for now in effect one,
'till the day that I am grown:
perhaps ne'er to escape for the vine, but evermore in the blest sun.
