No one can say she didn’t try She struggled against his current Yet true to her self She struggled against his current Yet true to herself She dreamed and she loved She dreamed and she learned And she held nothing back But she couldn’t make him love her Some people can’t simply throw it in But the lonely hearts sing straight to heaven Their stomach’s filled with weight of dead butterflies Take me as I am She stilled tried Broken and bruised, moving from one to the other She's lost herself Cannot find another She sits and watches through the eyes of another Hoping to one day, be like the others
