Through forests of trees Along rivers and streams I left my home to find my place and further still I ran Over blankets of green and moss strewn rocks My place emerged side by side -To where I once stood Filtered light focused my resolve as though peering through a thicket of velvet With a breezy air whirling and swirling My minds great eye twirled itself within Looking deep, I found my place Looking inward, I found my outward With you by my side Step by step on each trail I wander Teaching me still all the beauty that which I would not have known You are my teacher, my friend, my Papa. I say to this "I love you!" still with more love and honesty each day hence
