Never again a sight of previous gold Let go of the moments we so dearly hold Remember the words whispered upon a many lips Remember swimming within lovers deep kiss Remember towers stacking into the sky Rain showers, wishing we could fly Remember the songs of the angels pain Voices smooth like a milky dream Be no more are the broken streets Where lost souls wonder on ****** feet Never again will the mother cry Or the child be pushed to suicide Remember the sound of whispered sighs Exasperated over again, time after time Exhaust waits in every sidewalk line In every aching minute of human life From the corpses bloodied body on which we dine To cave paintings of a different time And so no more will we hold Precious moments framed in gold And no one will be here to remember The light leaving the very last dying ember
