Alone in a room The absence of light It seems so silly but that is my fright Locked down by memories Scarred by my past So many years later The nightmares still last I tell others of my terror They stare with pure judgment I brush it off slightly But their looks remain pungent No one understands But what I do know is true With a life like mine You'd be afraid of the dark too
