Five small children ate peanut butter sandwiches on the beach. Their hearts a twitter for they found a mermaid castle in the sea. They played cops and robbers on the ocean floor. Their tiny toes knocked at the mermaid’s door. The mermaids kissed their feet and played with their hair. The small children said goodbye to the sea lair. They left behind their shoes as gifts, Knowing that they would never fit.
