About great men and courageous actions!
About heroes and patriotism and bravery!
But, it is not.
This is a poem, about broken lives and shattered minds.
This is a poem, about dead children, and massacres and all the images and acts of war,
that crush great men, brave men.
This is a poem, about the defeat, in every victory.
This is a poem, about living men,
who will never leave the battlefield.
