This is so true and applies to so many aspects of our lives living in the numbness of illusion. One small example (which is why I live in a rural area), but always flash on exactly what you're saying, is sitting in hours long traffic jams in big cities (no matter the time of day) with cars idling away, burning gas like it is an endless supply, while Eris laughs on the periphery.
