I was asked to give a speech, I remember when you rang. “I need to ask a favor”, “That's not a favor”, I sang. “So you can do it?”, you pried, I responded only, “Yes.” The pretense of long friendship, And luck you'd claim God did bless. Since it is your wedding day, I know gallant it must be. And while our take is weighty, The audience must agree. I'll reveal exploits in jest, Tall tales of a younger You. What they don't know, never will, Those gritty details aren't true. “Well good evening, everyone. I'm here for these two lovers, Who have pledged their lives this day, and forsaking all others”. “In conclusion, look at them; Just perfectly meant to be. But I don't know them at all, Keep that between you and me”.
