By the porch I sat
and wondered hard
of love, of life, of him in mine.
There was a rift within,
there were two sides.
They fought over love,
Over him.
Kept throwing words at each other
Like a number less dice.
One said, “I love him more
'Cause I pray for him to be pure.
I ask him to live clean,
And leave hollow pleasures behind.”
The other said, "Hollow they are to you.
For him, a trick to smile.
I love him with an escalated mind.
Worldly pleasures made him mine.”
The third, spoke words of the wise.
Love ain't any game of divide and rule.
You love him for a part of him and not the other,
Then my dear friends
You both possess only one side of a coin.
Learn to love him whole
For his body is one,
One heart, one mind.
To break him in two
Is no love divine!
