He slipped on a banana skin but it didn't make me laugh I've had more fun when cleaning the tide stain from a bath And the joke I heard from that great wit I didn't even smile the punch line soared above my head and missed me by a mile When at the circus clowns were playing and their car exploded comical I found it not my humor has eroded Not even a grin was on my face while others screamed with joy it seems there is no hope for me I'm a melancholic boy I search in vain for my funny bone but it look like it's not there nothing can amuse me and no one seems to care Before I'd get a "Cheer-up Dad" and encouragement all round now they just pass me by and look for safer ground So I'll have to just accept my life and say that this is it and accept what they're all saying... That I am a miserable sad old *** The End

The Miserable Old Sot
This is not about me... I hope :)
