I spent my whole life being told to simplify,
To "just get to the point".
Always asking, "How?" But never, "Why?"
Until I smoked a joint.
That's when I felt something inside of me,
Pointing out the irony.
So I gave the idea a punt,
Because that advice made me more blunt.
So sharpen your wits,
And keep them about you.
Because boxing gloves and fists
Are pretty **** blunt too.

What kind of a society are we if we constantly need things to be simplified further? Is the beauty not in the individually deciphered unique meaning?
