I press my face into my hands and watch my life slip through my fingers But it doesn't rain for me anymore and I can't sleep because the thunder, it wakes me And the lightning blinds my eyes therefore not allowing me to see exactly whats lays in front of me There is no hope, no chance for me I lost my last opportunity Everyone yells, and shouts at me yet my fate dies, along with dreams No chance with you but that was something I could foresee   No friends to talk to and there is no one that I need Love no longer exists within me for it hurts too much But I'd die for the sight of you, and one single touch... But it doesn't rain for me anymore, and I can't sleep because the thunder, it wakes me...

It Wakes Me
I press my face into my hands and watch my life slip through my fingers But it doesn't rain for me anymore and I can't sleep because the thunder, it wakes me And the lightning blinds my eyes therefore not allowing me to see exactly whats lays in front of me There is no hope, no chance for me I lost my last opportunity Everyone yells, and shouts at me yet my fate dies, along with dreams No chance with you but that was something I could foresee   No friends to talk to and there is no one that I need Love no longer exists within me for it hurts too much But I'd die for the sight of you, and one single touch... But it doesn't rain for me anymore, and I can't sleep because the thunder, it wakes me...
I wrote this originally as a song, almost 10 years ago. Now I'm sitting here speechless and dumbfounded at how fast time flies... But yet amazed at myself because I remember it word for word and know exactly where I was when I wrote it and why. I feel younger now then I did back then.
