I hate when people say we'd be good together I love when people say we'd be good together It gives me hope that people see what I see Makes me hope you will see me the way they see us. But the world doesn't work like that Experience is the judge So I shake my head and say no to their proposals To keep the wall up around my heart To not be vulnerable to those who don't deserve it I will never be good enough for you Or what you want It's happened before Time and time again You don't like me like I like you. So I pretend not to care. The story that's always on repeat.
