Velvet curtains over a sunlit window Casting their shadows over the floor Shattered peace standing over the scene Blood stains the grass and vultures fly low Sirens blare and there are coming more The falling rain no longer clean Shouts of sorrow cease to cease Something is put into the back of a van Screeching tires come again This time they aren't coming, but leaving All is lost, stand to speak Funeral gone, it's been a week Not forgotten, but never known By those to come who would love her most
