streets narrow and long
street lights bright and dim
speak to me through your walls
consult me in my decisions
tell me what foot to place
in front of the other on this road
leading to nowhere but near you
please city, take me away
never back again to where your
eyes searched mine desperately
my city, guide me to somewhere new
