It's the hunger that seeps into the mind. It affects all people. It won't stop until it's satisfied, Until you give in. It's the calmness of the pond. There are no tides, no waves. Many things lurk hidden beneath. The stillness is broken with the slightest movement. It's the distractions at the cinema. The white noise disrupts. The extra sound drowns out. Electronic lights draw attention. Words and ideas are missed. It's the only thing you don't want. It's the only thing you have.
