As we lie in wait for a painless death We sleep alone and wait with held breath To sleep in the arms of one who cares Not as romantic, or loves, But as two who understand what the other bears Wouldn't that be true beauty? Two humans in each other's arms Humans that are untouched by the evils The evils of death and pain and harm I wish there was a way that you could lay here with me And it wouldn't be ****** or romantic in any way But as the night was once taken By the everlasting Death We too must lie in hope That Death does not return And take us both whole
