1. You breathe slowly out I can feel the warmth of your arm around my shoulders And a smile plays on the corner of your mouth when you look at me. 2. To describe your lips would be to stroke a heart with the tips of your fingers as softly as an autumn breeze But yet having the strongest grip in the world. 3. The sparks that flew between our hearts Our fingers Our lips Could have fuelled a million cities 4. Uncertainty is the worst It cuts little triangles in the sails of your smiles too small to stop the ship from sailing but enough that lines of doubt will etch itself into the forehead of the captain and make his hand reach out for a bottle of wine. 5. If I could I would give you the stars but is it worth giving when the star is fading? 6. And maybe the Future is not what it seems and the sharp curve of your cheek and dusting of glitter in your eyes will stay in my head forever.

The Six Chapters of You
