The first summer's rain after the drought
Is always the sweetest
The first drop in the bucket after it has been emptied
Makes one feel the completest
You saved me from myself
From my thoughts
My unanswered questions
From the doubt in my mind
That I would ever find someone
Someone to make me feel like me
But not just myself, an enhanced me
Like I had always imagined it would feel

The first summer's rain after the drought
Is always the sweetest
The first drop in the bucket after it has been emptied
Makes one feel the completest
You saved me from myself
From my thoughts
My unanswered questions
From the doubt in my mind
That I would ever find someone
Someone to make me feel like me
But not just myself, an enhanced me
Like I had always imagined it would feel
The first poem I ever wrote for that "Someone Special"
