In the jungle of humanity
painted walls of white
all of them suffering the same plight
strangers sat together exchanging polite glances
hoping for a chance
to reach for the American Dream
one that had somehow slipped through their fingers
it seems...
wanting to keep their dignity
reaching for a life that shines--
