In youth, I bathed in television glow,
literature but some passing fragment
of old humanity; irrelevant
cries from sad-eyed, androgynous poets.
Yet, birthed from a collective klaxon of
marketable, modern joy, I found my
voice unremarkable when out of text.
Lacking magnificence; I turn to words.
