I never fit inside a check marked box
I fall between the cracks of black and white
and I'm always writing about world issues
and eating disorders
or where I belong
which I love writing
but these poems have suffered greatly
as I find I belong
up against your chest
your arms around my back
eyes closed.
I sit down to write a poem but
the only thing that comes to my mind is
you
and I don't get how you could be the
worst thing
to ever happen to my poetry but the
best thing
to ever happen to me.
