Life is ironic. It puts Your house on fire. You sit and watchas your world burns down. In desperation, you call the cops. No answer. No hope. Firefighters? No answer. No hope. A hose? Water? A no-show. No hope. How about your family? “Be there in ten.” Hope. So you fight the fire with your bare hands, saving what you can of what was once your home. Your hands? Gone. No hope. The house? Gone. No hope. Ten minutes pass. Your family can’t come. Sound familiar? The ringing of no hope. Your hands are on fire. Waiting. Waiting. You call an ambulance. Waiting.Waiting. “Just breathe. We’ll be there soon.” They finally listen. Life finally gives you hope. Truth. Life. So you Don’t let go of it. Then the paramedics finally come Yet they stare at you your burned hands, ***** clothes, all the effort you put in Yet they look at you like you’re crazy. Confused, you look around. And right behind you Where there was nothing before. a tub of water.

Finally built up the courage to post under an alias, this was my first ever poem I’ve written. The poem was inspired by struggling through crisis alone while living in survival mode. I’ll leave you guys to interpret the rest.
