Im quite sure you would have liked it, baby, Your stone, the gravel and birds. I keep on seeing you everywhere lately, A palatable safety so briefly held. Someone tried comforting me, I cried. I confide in this empty bed, Where you died. Your lingering smell, Your lingering clothes, Im lingering alone, cause I couldn’t tell Them to stay any longer. I clench your blue jumper, because you might stay longer. One day I’ll get stronger, Or so Im told, But the weights you left Were made of gold. Im glad I could see your stone, I couldn’t bare you picking my gravel alone. I’d live forever, So you could go before I. This mortal tether Is an endeavour. Ah, To have birds Singing together, Above where we lie.
