If birth was our creation, And death our destination, And we decreed life's end to be a chase; The first whomever finished Left the rest of us diminished, For Abel won the entire human race Tho' many others started And have mostly all departed, They came along too late to see his trace; For thanks to his own brother, He beat out every other, And Abel won the entire human race Yes that one origined sin, When his brother did him in, Left the rest of us with egg upon our face; For he went unto his rest With a ribbon on his chest, 'Cos Abel won the entire human race
