My heart longed for sleep
In a hope of being rescued from the loud stillness of night
Sleep didn't come for me
As i drowned in the ocean of my thoughts
My mind battled my heart to keep it alive
As darkness swallowed me alive,
My search for the sun intensified.
The demons I created
Began clawing at my heart.
As blood flowed through my eyes,
I realized there was no light to run toward—
Only empty stillness.
