We bought burgers and beers and sat at a table where the top was sticky. She was dressed in leather her curly hair cut short. The base camp was busy. Heavy metal music erupted from speakers with chainsaw guitars sounds, thundering drums, loud vocals. That Yank ***** we picked up at Hamburg shares my tent and goes on about men she has had or will have, Lizzy said with a sigh. We both sipped our cold beers. I think she has eyes on the Aussie guy, I said. Then he can share her tent, Lizzy said, and I yours. We both ate our burgers with a bag of hot fries. We went in the City of Oslo afterwards, seeing the many sights having a few more beers. But she slept with the Yank ***** and not with poor me. Some things not meant to be.
