Where does it hurt? It hurts in the distance, Far from your touch, your warm existence. Where does it hurt? It hurts when we’re not physically connected, In the quiet moments, feeling so disconnected. Where does it hurt? It hurts when I want to show you Every second how deeply I love you. Where does it hurt? It hurts in the silence between, When you’re far away and I’m left in between. Where does it hurt? It hurts knowing you’re stressed or in pain, I wish I could fix it, make it all fade. Where does it hurt? It hurts in goodbyes and soft good nights, Baby, I hate leaving you out of my sight. Where does it hurt? This ache is something I’d gladly embrace, Because without it, I wouldn’t have your grace. Where does it hurt? Baby… it doesn’t hurt at all with you, This love makes every ache feel brand new.
