Merriam-Webster Dictionary Word of the Day 20/05/2026 At the Weekday Café Two years of open doors each day have shaped the life of this café. And at its heart, with apron tied, Chef Chez keeps everything supplied. Mugs clink softly, warm and bright, a morning ritual done just right. She greets us all with calm delight, her welcome steady, never slight. Some pop in for a tea to go, others linger where sunbeams glow. Chez knows the regulars by name, their favoured brews, their usual same. A chat begins -- “Good morning, you. How’s the week been treating you?” A cordial word, a gentle start, the kind that settles in the heart. Talk drifts on with easy grace as kindness fills the little space. Weather, family, joys and care, shared like warmth in open air. No one forces friendship’s claim, yet kindness grows all the same. A weekday fellowship, brewed slow, poured gently out in a steady flow. And as the hours drift along, you feel the quiet binding strong: a stitched‑together community of simple warmth and constancy. Known enough to greet by name, met with welcome all the same, thanks in part to Chef Chez’s way of making grace of the everyday.
