Mindfulness Carefully crafted Words are POWERFUL Writing HELPS US escape If even for a single minute Turn the decibels DOWN to a mute Reclaiming What’s rightfully MINE Existing CAN be quite The CHORE Resisting the TEMPTATIONS The memories Are my truest NEMESIS Cruel and UNUSUAL Punishment Still haunts US Like a BAD dream WAKE ME UP Let it flee ELSEWHERE PLEASE Revitalize my being ALMIGHTY ONE I’ve been through The WRINGER enough Pulling The thorns out Why do we STILL Feel them all piercing OUR souls Skins WORN THIN HEARTBEATS slower We’ve had EVERY reason To throw in The TOWEL ALL my APPLAUSE Is directed strictly For US two from The same SEAS Our will To not CAVE Completely Should be VERY Much APPLAUDED I admire our strength To carry ON through The impossible tasks We’ve FACED Not many would Give a **** A SECOND thought Or try AND understand Even ANSWER the calls For help I WILL NEVER JUDGE a book before FULLY EXAMINING THE CONTENTS But just know THERE’s a soul Out there Who if you ever truly NEED HIM He will come RUNNING When you need UPLIFTING Be well my FRIEND POETRY is what started are FRIENDSHIP And it will HELP TO continue As we move FORWARD Through the EBBS and FLOWS As we SHARE THE many stories Of HOW we are STILL STANDING When MAYBE we shouldn’t BE
