Merriam-Webster Dictionary Word of the Day 13/05/2026 I strive to rectify my deeds undone, To polish tarnished hours with brighter care; For what is wrought amiss may yet be won If earnest labour meets the morning air. Thus shall my faults, though many, be refined, As gold is purged by flame from base alloy; And in that forging, tempered is the mind To shape its errors into future joy.
