Like the ocean.... Sometimes a stillness Then like Sudden waves It grabs you , twists and tosses Into an emotional whirlpool Vacuums ... To center of the ocean's bed Its roars of memories..... Submerges...... your body You feel like your breath Leaves.... for a minute..... There's a stillness.... Then Suddenly..... it spews you upon the sandy shores Reality marinates..... As the warm rays...... From friendly words of comfort Shine upon you..... Just when you begin to settle The waves of grief... Grabs hold of your feet... And draws you back in. Your succumbed by its tides again

Grief

After the passing of my mother a month ago. These words just flowed out it was so unbelievably overwhelming to experience this kind of pain. I am still dealing with it. One day at a time.
