I hate myself
Not because I'm ugly,
Not because im not smart,
But because of the way I am
I hate the way I mimic my dad,
For every single conflict,
Words as sharp as glass shards,
Fists balled up until blood starts seeping,
Jaws clenched harder than a great white shark,
And a gaze so hateful,
You could smell hell in it
I hate myself,
Because I avoid conflict,
Because I'm a coward
Because that's way I've always known,
Because that's what I've been taught.
Childrens are great mimics they say,
Their brains as malleable as clay,
To sculpt them into pots with sewer water,
Then they wonder why it smells bad.
I hate myself,
I still do,
With a question deep in me,
Am I always going to be like this?
