The sun won't rise for me today, My weary heart has lost its way. The colours fade to shades of grey, There's nothing left for me to say. The laughter of the world sounds far, Beneath a cold and distant star. I've carried burdens, borne the scar, And now I'm just too tired to spar. The path ahead, it holds no gleam, Just shadows in a broken dream. I'll drift away, a silent stream, And cease to be, it would now seem.

Fading Light
The sun won't rise for me today, My weary heart has lost its way. The colours fade to shades of grey, There's nothing left for me to say. The laughter of the world sounds far, Beneath a cold and distant star. I've carried burdens, borne the scar, And now I'm just too tired to spar. The path ahead, it holds no gleam, Just shadows in a broken dream. I'll drift away, a silent stream, And cease to be, it would now seem.
