Verse 1 Hear their approaching hoof beats, See the destruction in their wake, Know it is we who summoned them. Old evil we cannot break. Verse 2 The poison of our hatred draws them, As does evil in our hearts, And the darkness in our souls, That kills hope before it starts. Chorus As we've sown, so now we reap, Division, hatred, ill will, Harvests that nourish our demons, And our better angels **** Verse 3 War, famine, pestilence, death, Trampling freedom, hope, and truth, Co-opting, mocking God's grace, Making monsters of our youth. Verse 4 The tipping point--on the horizon. Soon there won’t be turning back, We embraced collective madness, Now our world’s fading to black. Chorus As we've sown, so now we reap, Division, hatred, ill will, Harvests that nourish our demons, And our better angels **** Verse 5 Hope fades fast in the horizon, From dust from the horsemen’s hoard, We can wail, await our fate, Or unsheathe our noble swords. Verse 6 Not ones that were forged from steel, Horsemen bear those in steely gloves, Only stronger ones can break them, Honor, reason, truth, and love. Outro Can’t unwind the clock, it ticks on, We’ll soon see their blood-red eyes, Unsheathe the swords that I speak of, Before life, hope, freedom dies.
