It's forever unseen
Yet I see its effects
I cannot hear it
But it echoes eternally
I cannot feel it
Yet its presence is always felt
I cannot smell it
But I recognise its scent
I cannot sense it
Yet it dulls my senses
It goes nowhere
But it is present everywhere
It says nothing
Yet it has its say
It is endlessly patient
But it never waits
I seek it still
Yet I never lost it
I try to seize it
But it cannot be grasped
It never seems to change
Yet it changes everything
I try to measure it
But it has no dimensions
I try to relive it
Yet it can only be remembered
I try to halt it
But it never moves
I think I waste it
Yet it cannot be preserved
I try to save it
But it cannot be lost
I wonder where it went
Yet it never goes anywhere
I say it's relative
But it's incomparable
It can bring me joy
Yet it takes it away
It can inflict pain
But it helps me endure
It allows me live
Yet leads me to die
I always want more
But fear its coming
I wonder what it is
Yet maybe I am it?

A poem about everything and anything.
