One day we will all disappear.
It will be as though we were never there at all.
Because we weren’t.
We were never there…
But…
We left something behind
A lot of things.
And they glow.
And they keep glowing long after we’re gone.
All across the world.
They hide and sleep in the daylight and come alive at night.
Th lights.
And one by one.
They go out.
Just like us.
But…
Nothing lasts forever.
And everything comes to an end.
But somewhere…on a hill far away.
One light keeps shining…
It refuses to go out
And it keeps shining as long as it can.
It knows when it goes we lose what we were.
So it keeps shining its hopeful light on the hill.
And however many years later.
When the house is gone.
And the light has run its course.
Slowly it fades.
And the last light to go out.
Was a sad and hopeful one.
Just like us it kept going for many years.
Before disappearing.
And nobody.
Will disturb the place.
Where the last light went Out.
