Despite war,
life goes on.
There are happy people
and sad people.
Everywhere
people.
And somewhere in time,
somewhere in space,
two "enemies" will meet.
Two lifelong neighbours,
divided by a stupid,
dangerous, fictional line.
It will be
a moonless night
when this happens.
One of them
will be crying,
sitting on a bench.
The other, drawn by
the unfamiliar sound,
will approach.
And they, both sad,
will make each other
slightly less sad—
perhaps even happy.
The next day,
in memory,
that stranger on the bench
or the one who came
and hugged them
will be
just a shadow—
someone they'll never know.

I do NOT mean to downplay war (which is such a serious and horrible thing), this is just a reflection on a purely fictional war. All of my love to the people in the Middle East, Ukraine, etc. who are suffering because of war. <3
